Configuration Worksheets

The FieldServer needs three items to be ready for any application:

• Gateway hardware
• Individual protocol drivers
• Configuration for a specific application

This configuration primarily consists of mapping the points from one device into a point map applicable to the other protocol. Each FieldServer shipped includes at no extra charge the necessary software and instructions to perform this point mapping and configuration. However, in many cases the user will desire FieldServer Technologies or their integrator to perform this service.

FieldServer Technologies offers this Custom Configuration service. There are three Custom Configurations available depending upon the number of points for the application.

• FS-8790-03 FieldServer Custom Configuration -- Up to 500 points
• FS-8790-05 FieldServer Custom Configuration -- 501 - 999 points
• FS-8790-15 FieldServer Custom Configuration -- 1000+ points

The user of the FieldServer will need to provide FieldServer Technologies with information about the installation and a points list via the Custom Configuration Worksheet. The FieldServer Custom Configuration department will provide a config.csv file for a specific application based upon the information provided by the Custom Configuration Worksheet, test the system prior to shipment and provide factory technical support during the warranty period.

As an alternative to FieldServer Technologies performing the Custom Configuration service the user can contact one of the FieldServer Approved Integrators found in the Approved Integrators list

Also, note that FieldServer Technologies does offer scheduled Technical Training classes at our California office where the user can be thoroughly trained in configuration and Commissioning of a FieldServer.
